SCOPE

To supply Subsea Offshore Supervisors, Senior Operators and Technicians for urgent decommissioning during Covid-19 lockdown restrictions.

When Expro Subsea Operations Manager, John Starling, contacted Focus in October 2021, they were in a difficult situation. They urgently needed Subsea experts for the Woodside-Enfield wells-abandonment project on Australia’s NW Shelf.
Focus was able to use their extensive database to supply the experienced and qualified Subsea personnel required for the decommissioning offshore project and continued to supply quality and key staff until September 2022, when the project was completed in record time.

PROJECT | Personnel for Geoquip vessels
SCOPE

To supply highly-qualified Filipino personnel for Geoquip vessels in a variety of countries around the world, including the USA, Denmark, Taiwan, Singapore, The Netherlands and Poland.

A meeting with Geoquip Marine in 2019 recognised a need for highly skilled staff ensuring Geoquip operations were ongoing without any downtime.
The solution to deploy qualified Filipino workers was identified, and this set in motion an 18-month process to bring certainty to Geoquip Marine’s staffing requirements.
Extensive documentation and meetings with both the Phillipines and Australian embassies ensured success.
The initial contract with Geoquip Marine was signed in 2020 and Focus continue to support them in their global staffing requirements.

PROJECT | MODU Noble Discoverer
SCOPE

To supply technicians for second stage maintenance and upgrades to DRS-1 in preparation to return system to Expro/Trident from MODU Noble Discoverer.

Focus Offshore Services were tasked with supplying expert and specialised maintenance staff to upgrade the system.
INPEX identified improvements to the system, including secondary unlock system in H4 Connector, guide rings for improved tighter tolerances on the EDP and LRP and a new guide funnel to be manufactured.
High level investigation was required to ensure correct functioning valve pressure.
Focus personnel were pivotal in ensuring the success of the project.

PROJECT | Tank Cleaning
SCOPE

To supply Filtration Technicians and personnel for Tank Cleaning projects on various rigs on the Northwest Shelf.

Since 2017, Focus Offshore Services has developed a reputation for supplying expertise in Tank Cleaning projects, completed on time and on budget.
All Focus personnel have full qualifications, training and certification in place before deployment.
Our work with Cetco Energy Services has led to their recommendation in other tank cleaning projects, with a number of companies, including our ongoing relationship with Diamond Offshore.

PROJECT | Install Bucket Elevator
SCOPE

To install a bucket elevator onsite within an extremely tight timeframe.

It took a month of planning with Mechanical Fitters and Boilermaker Welders to work through the requirements, in order to ensure success in the tight timeframe.
It was essential for a detailed plan to be developed before work could commence.
With all onsite preparation completed on Friday, the weekend was allocated to disassemble, make modifications, reassemble and install the bucket elevator on site, ready for use at 6am Monday morning.
The task was completed successfully with full testing completed by 8pm on the Sunday evening.
